Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago Names Four New Trustees, New COO by Sarvin Haghighi

As read on Artnews and ArtForum online magazine, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago has announced that the board will be adding four new trustees. They are Nancy Crown, Eve Rogers, Dia Weil, and David Hartt. Hartt is the first artist to serve on the museum’s board. The museum’s director, Madeleine Grynsztejn, said, “This is an institution activated by living artists, and David is a perfect fit for artist representation on our board of trustees. As the MCA artist trustee, he will be a strong sounding board for many museum activities.”

Hartt is the first living artist to join the board. Last year he had a show at the Studio Museum in Harlem that explored the Chicago offices of Ebony and Jet.

Also being added to the museum’s roster is Teresa Samala de Guzman, who will work as the museum’s chief operating officer. She was previously senior associate dean for finance and administration at the University of Virginia’s business school.
