Coming from two different cultures and backgrounds, the resident artists have used their unique way to voice their stories in a similar way.  Every second Friday of the month, more than 30 galleries of Chicago Art District invite the public to view the new and exciting exhibitions and tonight we can not wait for everyone to see the new pieces.

Address: 1932 South Halsted. Studio # 202 - From 6-10 pm

Chicago Body Painter welcomes spring ... by sarvin

Robin B Gallery hosted one of the very first spring art exhibitions in Chicago, called Flower Power on April 17th.  Orlando Barsallo, one of the Emerging artists represented at Robin B Gallery compares his art form to ice sculptures " the ice sculpture eventually melts just like the model eventually has to wash off the body paint" he mentions. This group exhibit included some of my smaller works as well as my mom's beautiful artwork. Robin B Gallery is located at 1123 West Armitage, Chicago, IL. Below link is the interview by DNA Info Chicago's  Jackie Kostek with the artist :-

Current Exhibit at Robin B Gallery - Chicago by sarvin

Three of my pieces are currently being shown at Robin B Gallery -  in a group Exhibit entitled "All That Glistens" highlighting the work of emerging and some established American artists. I was introduced to this gallery through a very dear friend of mine which resulted in a successful meeting and after the Gallery's Curator's visit to my studio,  I was chosen to be one of Robin B Gallery's featured artists. I'm very happy to see three of my pieces were chosen to be shown in this exhibit.

The words you see in the below piece are both Farsi and English and represent all the simple things that have been taken away.  This piece is 36"x48" - Acrylic on Canvas. The exhibit is still on so feel free to go and see the artwork.
