After several months of frigid winter, it's certainly easy to understand why spring is the favorite season for many people.  Spring is when the earth comes back to life after a long cold winter and it is in spring when the first flower begin to bloom. Spring is a time to renew your goals, refresh your home and to unearth your garden from its wintry layers.

To Celebrate the first signs of flowers blooming, join us for "Flower Power" group exhibition at Robin B Gallery in Chicago on April 17th 2014.

Post revolution, art's revelation by sarvin

Modern-Art.jpg

Post 1979 Iranian revolution artworks by 29 Iranian artists, many exhibiting in the UK for the first time, was displayed at The Brunei Gallery at SOAS, University of London from 16 January – 22 March 2014.

The artists on display reject notions of 'Iranian-ness' as a fixed, timeless entity, and investigate the social and historical construction of identity, as well as their contribution to problematic political situations.

Below article is an interesting read about the above mentioned exhibit:-

Censorship!!! by sarvin

Many of us have been censored throughout our lives in different ways. From not expressing what we think freely to avoid being judged to not being able to access movies, magazines and articles without being cut off. My version of censorship which was recently displayed in ARC Gallery via a juried exhibition is two pieces - each 36"x48" inches - one shows the censorship on many middle eastern magazines where nudity is hidden with a black marker; and the other shows another side of censorship where there is lack of freedom of speech.
